Resilience Talks – Minal Pathak

The next appointment of the series “Resilience Talks” moderated by our director Lorenzo Chelleri is back on tomorrow Friday the 3rd of March with a new guest, Minal Pathak Associate Professor at the Global Centre for Environment and Energy at Ahmedabad University. Minal will give as a talk by the title of  “Challenges and opportunities for ambitious mitigation and adaptation in Indian cities” and illustrate as well some case studies and  programs ongoing in India.

More on Minal: Minal Pathak is a Senior Scientist with the Technical Support Unit of Working Group III of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Associate Professor at the Global Centre for Environment and Energy at Ahmedabad University. She was a co-author on two IPCC Special Reports – ‘Global Warming of 1.5°C’ and ‘Climate Change and Land’ and the co-editor of IPCCs Sixth Assessment Report.  She leads the South Asia Hub of the Urban Climate Change Research Network in partnership with Columbia University’s Earth Institute. Her research focuses on climate change mitigation strategies for urban settlements, transport and buildings and their co-benefits/inter linkages with development.
