This program is intended for city practitioners and consultants with at least 2 years of work experience in fields related to sustainability and resilience, as well as university graduates from the following fields:

• Urban and Regional Planning
• Urban Design
• Geography
• Social and Political Science
• Engineering
• Architecture
• Landscape and Environmental Design and Management
• Regional Economy, Ecology

Students are required to provide proof of English proficiency.
Native English speakers or students that have attended school in English do not need to provide certifications.

Application Process Deadlines for 2024-2025

First call for applications:

• Deadline for submitting documents:  February 23, 2024
• Skype interviews with preselected candidates: March 4 to 7, 2024
• Communication of results: March 8, 2024
• Deadline to reserve a place: March 22, 2024

Second call for applications:

• Deadline for submitting documents: May 3, 2024
• Skype interviews with preselected candidates: May 6 – 9, 2024
• Communication of results: May 13, 2024
• Deadline to reserve a place: May 27,  2024

*Complete submission of documents will be accepted only until 18.00 h (GTM Spain) of each deadline date.

*Following each step, the applicants will be notified if they have been:

a) Accepted: You will receive your acceptance letter along with instructions on how to pay the deposit and reserve a place. Acceptance will only be confirmed upon payment.

b) Placed on a waiting list: Your application will be reviewed again during the next call.

c) Not accepted

Documents submission must be complete in order to include the applicant in each admission call. If some documents are missing, your application will be kept until completed and reviewed during the next admission call.

The tuition fees are €9,720.00 (+ €480.00 Registrations fees)

Non-EU students will be required to apply for a student visa. Tourist or work visas are not valid for study in a Spanish university. Students are responsible for their visa applications, and UIC will provide support for any necessary letters from the university for the student. Admitted students will be provided the contact of a lawyer, expert in immigration and student visas, who provides consultation services to UIC students. We do not provide letters for the student’s dependents or relatives. You are responsible for checking the application processes and requirements specific to your nationality with your local Spanish Consulate or Embassy.

However, online participation and blended mobility learning experience could be an option perfectly consistent with the education methods in place. Specific cases will be discussed during the interview

Once you arrive in Barcelona, you may be required to apply for a NIE, an identification number for foreign residents. UIC will provide support through documents required from the university, but students are responsible for their own application process, including getting previous appointments online (“cita previa”).
