It was a great pleasure discussing today with Emilio Faroldi and Eugenio Morello , from the Politecnico di Milano, on Design Principles for a Sustainable Campus.
We explored with them the Politecnico Campus settings, the open spaces and buildings, infrastructure and furnishings and the sustainability dimension of it. In particular how the integration of green solutions and new technologies spread across the campus can increase both sustainability and resilience.
They explained the development of the project and the regeneration strategies applied to the university context and its surroundings, the role that the university has in the city as an important actor increasing the quality of life of the neighbourhood, providing ecosystem services and helping to improve overall urban sustainability.
